The Outdoor Toy Awards 2018 are here to shout loud about this exciting category in the run up to the summer holidays. The awards will see the spotlight thrown onto ten toys, each one crowned champion in their category, and every shortlisted toy put through its paces by over 50 Toyminators aged 5-14 in our dedicated outdoor play space.
Toyology have teamed up with YouTube sensations Amazing Arabella and Jaadin the Kid to host the awards and share the created content with their legions of fans.
“With Arabella and Jaadin on board we’re going to be taking the awards out to the biggest audience yet, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have such great talent on-board to spread the word. We’re counting down the sleeps right now” said Peter Jenkinson, founder of the awards.
The presenters mum Shadia added “We’re delighted to be a part of this event, Kids love outdoor play and these latest toys are really the cream of the crop, we can wait to put them through their paces. These award offer ideal inspiration for getting kids out of the house to burn off some energy, and stay entertained throughout the summer holidays”.
The final will be live-streamed and the ten winners in each category announced (alongside the runners-up), well ahead of the school summer holidays to offer guidance for the perfect outdoor entertainment systems ahead of summer staycations. For those that miss the live excitement a video of the event will be available on YouTube.
The 2018 Outdoor Toy Awards event are excited to announce a partnership with DC Thomson Media. Through their EPIC and Sweet magazines the Outdoor Toy Awards will reach an even wider audience with competitions and content on their pages in the issues running into the summer holidays as well as activity on social channels.
“We’re thrilled to be part of this outdoor adventure” says Kirsty Matthews, Head of magazine marketing at DC Thomson Media. “Getting kids outdoors and active and having loads of fun is totally aligned with the messages from our magazines, we’re hoping to get a trampoline installed in the offices soon!”

There’ll be plenty of social media activity surrounding the awards too, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will all be in action from the date of the awards opening until after the finalists have been announced.
Phil Jones of Wind Designs said “An awards dedicated to the outdoor sector is essential as there is so much to shout about, there are loads of categories that need to be recognised and not just bundled into a standalone award. We’re looking forward to taking part and seeing our playthings put through their paces.”

All award entries must be completed online and are subject to an entry fee of £200 per product submission. You must have entered by midnight, 30th of April 2018.
You can enter one product into multiple categories.
There is no limit to the amount of entries you can submit but each entry must have its own application form submitted via www.theoutdoortoyawards.co.uk
Products do not have to be available to purchase but we do need a sample for testing.
Entrants are welcome to attend the event on the day.

The Outdoor Toy Awards (OTA) can cancel or combine categories if there are insufficient entries.
All samples should reach us by the 8th June 2018. Please send product with tracking, OTA will not be held responsible for lost/damaged items. Do check in that your products have been received. Samples arriving after the 8th June will not be eligible.
Once a product has been entered, paid for and sample(s) received the OTA will provide a shortlisted logo for your use.
Winners of a 2018 OTA award will receive a logo which can be used across all your packaging, promotional, marketing material, email signatures and all social media platforms. There is no additional cost for the use of this artwork.
A video of the event finals will be available with all finalists making an appearance. This footage is free to be used across your digital and social platforms.
We require one sample of each entry to be sent to us, all samples are non-returnable. Winners in their category will be required to provide two additional items as prizes.
The decision(s) of the OTA is/are final.
